The left is out in force with the stupid statement that we are suppressing voters by asking them to show ID.  This is outrageous which is not surprising because the left is always outrageous.  Read about it here:

In good faith, we are putting together a list of places you have to show your ID.  Would you please reply in the comments section of this blog and we will gather them together for a special video that will be sent virally.

When I was younger I had to show my ID everytime I bought beer, now that I have grey/white hair they quit asking for my ID.  Also, they check you ID when you buy smokes or dip these days if you look like you might be underage.  Since credit card fraud is so high, most stores ask to see a picture ID when making large purchases.  Oh! What a noval thought, to stop credit card fraud you have to show a picture ID; but to stop voter fraud requiring someone to show a picture ID is wrong???  I don't get the reasoning here; I must not be liberal enough to follow that thought train!!!!

I don't have any new ones actually, but I do remember the passport as being especially difficult and even had to write and get a copy of my birth certificate for that along with a couple other forms of proof I was who I was. And this is overseen by the same group that now want voters not to have to show an id.............really. The thing is, like Florida, many states have a list of acceptable forms of picture id and as was made clear, you can show one picture id and another id with your signature if you don't have something with both of the requirements on the same id.

I had an eye problem come up Friday night - an infection.  It hurt and it felt like there was something in it.  I couldn't sleep.  I went to an urgent care center, Solantic, at 8:00 on Sat. Morning.  I had to show my driver license before they would treat me. Boy did I feel DISINFRANCHISED.  Actually, what I felt was relief that I could get to see a doctor so quickly.

We registered my grandson for school in Gainesville this August.  We needed a certified copy of his bitth certificate in order to do so.

To get the food stamp card, and medicaid card, ID must be shown and need proved.  After that, I have seen stores require ID when using EBT card.  And doctors and hospitals STILL require ID and medicaid card when services are rendered.  And birth certificate for Pres?  Each party is supposed to vette their respective candidate INSTEAD OF THE FBI. That is how crooked the national hierarchy of both parties are, especially the 'thuggery' of Chicago politicians.   This has to be changed..... Al Capone and his ilk are still alive and well in Chicago.  Where is the modern day Ellliot Ness?

The whole argument about not enough days for voting, early voting, picture ids, etc....are simply a ploy to subvert the integrity of the process! I was naturalized as a U.S. citizen in 1972. Since that time I have never missed voting in any election, whether for dog catcher of my little hometown in Texas all the way up to President of the U.S. Often, I was deployed overseas or onboard ship but still managed to legally vote despite those obstacles. If you can't get out to vote during a week or submit an absentee ballot before the deadline, you either don't care, don't want put forth an effort or are up to something illegal...... 'Nuff said! Exercise your responsibilities as a U. S. citizen! Others have died for your right to do so....

As a home inspector I have to show my driver's license to enter gated communities such as Sawgrass, MarshLanding, DeerCreek, etc. and yet not show my identification when I vote????

Joan, food stamps are given in the form of a credit card. They go to the market, buy their needs and the cashier swipes it, a code is typed in, and that's that.  For medicaid, there is another type of card that is shown to the medical staff.  No other ID is necessary.  Unemployment checks go directly to their bank accounts.
