ACTION ITEM: Please submit your PRO 2nd Amendment thoughts to senators Rubio and Nelson

Although we here in Jacksonville would not be aware of it, Senator Ted Cruz is asking for Gun stories that kept someone alive, turned away a robber or are positive proof that guns save lives.  Our senator Marco Rubio has also sent out a request for information about the economy impacts on our lives, and I believe that what Mr. Cruz is asking may also be something we do for Mr. Rubio in response to the push for gun control.

I have included the specifics as stated by Mr. Cruz for us to follow and think given how serious these folks are about taking away our second amendment rights or at the very least defining what our rights are which they are not allowed to do based on our constitution, WE SHOULD SEND OUR SENATORS SOME LETTERS.

 Here are the parameters Mr. Cruz included which I think might be wise to follow:

Please submit your thoughts for the committee to consider in the form of a formal letter ....which makes either a pro 2nd Amendment argument or a tells a short, compelling, personal story about how you exercised your 2nd Amendment rights in a positive way, such as in defense of yourself, your family, your business, or how you scared off a robber.

WE CAN DO THIS AND IT COULD VERY WELL MAKE A DIFFERENCE, SO PLEASE WRITE YOUR LETTERS!  IN ADDITION, YOU COULD ALSO GET THE NAMES AND ADDRESSES OF EVERYONE ON THE COMMITTEE AND SEND THEM A COPY OF YOUR LETTER VIA EMAIL OR FAX IF YOU HAVE THE TIME TO DO SO.
