Ronald Reagan seemed to know just what to say when and here’s one quote that pertains well to where we are today:

"We are a nation that has a government -- not the other way around. And this makes us special among the nations of the Earth. Our government has no power except that granted it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed."

If Ronnie were here today he would be beside himself with the way government is treating the people. He would challenge us to stand up and fight against those who think we work for them. He would firmly tell us if we don’t do something about it – evil will win. He had a way with words and gosh darn – we do miss him and his leadership style.

Some of you out there are letting fear take over and are beginning to wonder if your candidate will win.

Here are some dirty tricks the left is using this week:

· The newspapers are sending out their endorsements and they are all for the progressives – the liberal democrats who put us into this mess. Your conservative candidates are being challenged by this and the messages must get out in other ways so voters are not swayed.

· Signs for your favorite candidates are being pulled up as fast as they are put out. You’ll notice as the week ends that most signs are for the leftist candidates. That’s because our signs are being stolen. Here’s what you do – Hold your signs and have others do so as well. It’s better anyway to see a smiling face holding a sign and sending thumbs up as people drive by. Take time to stand on a corner and get ‘er done!

· Candidate websites are under attack. Today we heard that a tight Governor’s race conservative website was hacked and redirecting viewers to its opponent website. Shame on them! They might take down a website but they can’t take down the people.

· Candidate skeletons are being rattled. If you have done anything such as get a speeding ticket when you were 18 years old about 40 years ago – they will spread the message and make you appear to be a criminal! Listen carefully to those commercials and do your homework. We all have skeletons so let’s not rattle something that is unimportant when reality is… “It’s about the jobs and we don’t care about his speeding ticket!”

· Cheating by a fake tea party group in Florida is confusing the voters. Some think the tea party has candidates and we do not. We are not a third party and do not endorse anyone who is running on a third party ballot. We don’t like cheaters. Cheaters never win!

The darkness of Halloween is upon us and the progressives are dressed in black. They will make a mistake and a crack will open wide for the light to prevail on our great nation. Remember, good wins over evil and we will win on November 2.

Stay the course. Be an encourager. Contact your candidate’s offices and volunteer to make calls. Be prepared to engage people about the lies the media is promoting and know the truth so it will set your candidates free on election night!

And if you still don’t feel optimistic – listen to this great song about the light in the cracks. A new day dawns every day and it’s up to us to look for the light within the darkness that is all around us!

This is a terrible time to impose smaller class sizes. The school system already is forced to cut essentials. Right now having to hire more teachers and build more classrooms will make our schools worse, not better. Class size should be measured at the school level, not by individual classrooms, so principals can organize their schools in the most effective way. Our schools shouldn't be micromanaged from Tallahassee.
