15 Days until Nov 2: It's Boothanksmerryhappy

We are 15 days away and you can feel the change of seasons in the air.

The stores are changing too. Winter apparel, decorations and even the produce is changing to accommodate the comfort of winter. This is my favorite time of year because we can hide our “not so perfect bodies” under sweaters and coats and snuggle up in front of the fireplace while falling asleep with a good book on our lap.

It’s Saturday and I hit my favorite big box store and was looking forward to those taste testers because I had missed lunch. As I approached the door, I saw large Halloween decorations hanging from the ceiling. I thought about the decorations still in my attic at home that I had not pulled out and placed around the house.

I headed towards the back so I could pick up my favorite cheeses and wine and saw a gorgeous display of Thanksgiving cornucopia centerpieces. Before I could make a decision to buy or not, I got a whiff of the small sliders tester and headed towards the aroma.

After a run to the produce section for my weekly avocados and spring mix I turned towards the voice of a young girl asking Daddy if she could “get this for Christmas.” She was standing in front of a dollhouse next to a large Christmas tree display. My mind immediately went to a countdown of days before Christmas and I almost hyperventilated.

What happened to this year? Where did it go?

Most of us have spent this year fighting our government and keeping tyranny at bay. Between January and March 20 of this year, we were writing, calling, emailing, visiting and petitioning our government so we could stop the healthcare bill. We were unsuccessful.

After that vote, we got to work and began our research on other legislation and regulation sitting on the burner eagerly awaiting passage. We researched candidates, we organized, we strategized, we volunteered, we donated and we worked together to bring others into this movement.

We are now in the middle of “Boothanksmerryhappy” and before you know it – 2011 will be here.

What part will you play in making history in 2010? Are you doing everything you can to secure life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Will you tell your grandchildren about the tea party movement and how it saved America and you were a part of it?

If you don’t know what to do, read our 16 Days blog from yesterday and try some of those ideas. Here are a few more to add to the list:

  • Pray for our nation. Pray that our enemies will have no power over us. Pray that those who lead us will lead with wisdom, discernment and love for their fellow man. Pray that on November 2nd every person who wins has a patriotic heart and a love for this great country. Pray they will do everything they can to protect it.
  • Take time to enjoy each holiday that happens between now and the end of the year.
  • Attend a fall festival in your city and walk among a pumpkin patch.
  • Thanksgiving is coming and plan now to spend it with those you love. This holiday is very special for Americans and now more than ever we need to celebrate our traditions. Start jotting down 15 things you are thankful for simply because you are an American citizen. Share them at the Thanksgiving table.
  • Hanukah and Christmas are right behind it and we encourage you to slow down and relish in the special time of year and glow that only comes from these hope-filled holidays.
  • Fly your flag. There is nothing like red, white and blue on display with the pumpkins for fall and the red poinsettias for the holidays. Red, White and Blue go with everything!

So true....and one more important item to add to the list:
* Please remember your favorite local "Mom & Pop" stores!! The "big box stores" have financial backing, but small local stores are really struggling! Even a purchase of an item under $5.00 can help prevent another vacant building!!!! Pray for our community...........

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
