Lisa when you say conservatism, it does not mean the same thing to all people. Don't assume that everyone can pack away their principles, hold their noses and vote for someone who has no more principles than Romney. I can't.

Ron Paul owes no man or party a thing. What betrayal must he endure? He stayed in the party, eschewing a third party run. But I made no such committment. Ryan who for his entire political life has said Medicare must go and Social Security was a ponzi scheme now speaks of how he going to save Medicare. What??? He was co-opted that quickly. He now says he never has been a devotee of Rand.
What wouldn't Romney say to get elected. No one can be against him or for him because he stands for nothing. Were he simply two-faced I might be able to swallow it all and pull the lever. But his only goal is to be president , nothing more. To what end? To serve his country? No one I know thinks that. To vindicate his father? Maybe. To accumulate power? Could be. To make Mormonism accepted? Plausible.
But nobody thinks that his political philosophy is something we can count on or even agree on.

He's causing it now by refusing to support the person running against Obama. There is a place & a need for Ron P, MUCH bigger than himself, or any of us....this country needs him to help remove the biggest menace ever to our Liberty, our Constitution ... our goals are the same in preserving these things, but splitting Conservative votes will not support those goals. They ARE sacrificing their principles by not voting Obama out. This country has a lot of people sittin' on the fence ad many on the left. R Paul was not electable because he was seen as too drastic. We can acknowledge all we want that what he stands for IS what America is principled on, but not enough people believe that right now. Shows all the more that we need to stop the Obama hemorrhaging, and begin the re-education of our citizens, and the move towards true Conservatism. An all or nothing "it's RP or no one" attitude will get us nothing. Again I say, Obama is THE most dangerous threat to our Republic, to Conservatism. And if Romney stops Obama, begins the work of turning us in the correct direction, we can elect better & better Conservatives & show the public the value of Conservatism. For the good of the People & of this country, he MUST rally folks to vote against Obama, or his vision, OUR vision, will be ended. And I will never forgive him for that. They aren't settling for something, they are helping to stop the worse threat to our Liberties-ever, and staying the course to help this country. Is Liberty about one man?

Many who voted for Obama, for what he promised, are now NOT voting for him again. We need EVERY vote to get him out. Anyone not voting AGAINST OBAMA, really doesn't get the damage he's done & will do full throttle if re-elected. Saving our economy, honoring our Constitution, cleaning our political house will take more than a new pres/VP, it will take a TEAM-us, Newt, Ron Paul, Santorum, Pallenty, Malkin, Rubio, West, etc... Ron Paul has many great ideas, Newt vowed during the Republican run offs that ALL candidates would support whomever wins, because it's the UTMOST PRIORITY to get Obama out. IF Ron Paul had won, I'd back him. He looses GREAT credibility in bailing on not being a part of the movement to oust Obama, who is THE biggest threat to our Republic. Ran Paul is! Our work is just getting started, but can not begin until STEP #1-fire Obama. Ron Paul does a discredit to all he's stood for by not standing with the Republican candidate & promoting to his followers to do the same-he's dividing the Conservatives & insuring Obama's finishing off of this country. How incredibly great of character it would be for Ron Paul to rally behind R & R, instead of going down in history as part of the cause in Obama getting re-elected. I expect ALL politicians saying they are about Conservatism to back up their word by working together to oust the socialist in the White House. GO see the movie, "2016," and you will know why you must vote Obama out. We only have this .. one ... chance..

Right on Lisa!  I agree!

I went yesterday. Over 9,700 people attended, as reported by TV 12! It was hot, packed, fun of energy. Wasn't too long, Ander Crenshaw, Pam Bondi, and 2 others spoke, Bondi introduced R & R. I couldn't always hear the announcements clearly. People were orderly, well behaved, excited & responsive, dressed in patriotic attire & waving flags & R &  signs! Ryan, Romney & wives were  right on time at 4:30, Ryan spoke, Mrs. Romney, then Romney, then A LOT of shaking hands before leaving. People were excited in the hope, after almost 4 long anguishing years, to dare to have REAL hope for our future. As for the comments on this page, REMEMBER HOW YOUR HEART DROPPED IN 2008? REMEMBER HOW WE'VE ALL BEEN SHOCKED IN THE THINGS THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS DONE? REMEMBER THE TIME & MONEY YOU DIDN'T HAVE, BUT YOU SPENT TO GO MARCH IN D.C. & TO SHOW UP & SUPPORT TEA PARTY RALLIES? REMEMBER THE DAILY ASSAULT ON US & OUR CONSTITUTIONS BY THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION? REMEMBER THE STRUGGLE WE'VE ALL BEEN ENDURING? REMEMBER OUR UNIFIED VOW TO OUST OBAMA? WELL TO ME, THAT'S PRIORITY #ONE! WE CAN WORK ON REFORMING THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, SCALING BACK BIG GOV POWER, DEBT, SPENDING, ETC, AFTER HE'S OUT-ONLY IF HE'S OUT. NITPICKING OVER WHATEVER RE: R & R, NITPICKING OVER Ron Paul-they all will COST US VOTES IN THE MOST important priority-VOTING OBAMA OUT. We can NOT be our own worse enemy, we MUST be unified in Remembering, in voting Obama OUT!

It is as though people here were ALWAYS for Romney. Cain, Gingrich, Bachmann, Santorum even Perry briefly had mre support than did Romney. I find it incredulous that now we are supposed to love.Romney, he was our fifth choice after all. Bah.

Lee.. too funny.   Let's face it, it a blog..

And yes, I do believe there will be elections in 2014 and 2016, etc. because I have a more positive faith in the goodness of this country and my belief in America is not tied to some candidate.  Get out of the house folks, unplug your never ending computer news feeds from crazy websites; go see some of the good and decent work individual Americans are doing each day in spite of the government...working hard to elect new faces and new ideas, helping real people..  If anyone wants Obama re-elected, fine.  Go vote for whomever your guy is... but don't complain when your Medicare doctor tells you "sorry, no more oxygen covered on your plan and you'll have to live with that bad hip.." or when your Social Security check stops.  Because it is going to happen if Obama gets another term.    At the end of the day I want to know I did all I can to end this chaos at one term.  But you can vote for whomever you want .. but consequences have actions.  Are you willing to live with them?

Okay, I'm game.  I want a Ron Paul bobblehead doll.  I also want a Ron Paul patchwork quilt.  In addition to those items, I want a paper target with Ron Paul's face on it the next time I go to the gun range!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
