WE NEED YOUR INPUT IN THE NEXT 3 HOURS PLEASE

The phones are ringing off the hook for tea party interviews regarding the possible Government shutdown.  This is the biggest news in a long time and they want to hear from us.

We have our opinion and hope to hear yours.

What do you think about this potential shutdown?

I will be on WTLV from 5:30 - 6:00 on a panel discussing this matter.

I would love to share your thoughts with them.

they are all to blame--BUT--two wrongs do not make a right---spending is way out of line and common sense should prevail---it is called negotiating not one upsmanship---let's be grownups with the best foot forward----put party nonsense aside and do something intelligent for a change---would be very refreshing!!!!!!!

The cheapest and one of the most effective means of limiting federal government spending would cost next to nothing. Simply have national elections on April 14, the day before federal taxes are due.

As for now, simply eliminating the 7 billion dollar federal subsidy for ethanol would be a good place to start. NO POLITICIAN will touch this dog because Iowa is a corn producing state and also the first state to have a caucus or primary in 2012.

I believe the Republicans need to stand firm.  Shur the government down.  If the politicians can't figure this out, their pay should be suspended until they do.  We need to hold them accountable to do their jobs.

If the Dems had done what they were supposed to do last October - submit and pass a new budget for fiscal year 2010 - this would not be an issue today, but they were too cowardly to do what they are mandated to do. They still won't submit their own bill now....and the president won't either.  They are spineless and weak.  The results of the election in November 2010 said it all for me and for millions of others in this country.  It's time that our Congressmen and women show the same kind of courage that our newly elected governors are displaying so far.  Stand by what you said in the campaign.  If the government does this partial shutdown, I liken that to when Congress is not in session....they can't do any more damage while they're not there and that's not a bad thing!  If the Senate does not pass a bill to continue military pay during a temporary government shutdown, and/or the president does not sign that bill, shame on them!  It's time to draw a line in the sand, Congress.  Stand firm.  Say what you mean and mean what you say.  If not now, then when?

Too little emphasis is placed comparing previous spending levels to current levels. This must be the primary focus to illustrate the absurdity of the Soetoro agenda to his constituents. The increased spending in our current budgets dwarfs levels of years past, even the most expensive of the Bush years.

I worked for the federal government for years (not union).  I "lived" through the last shutdown.  Even though I was an engineer on projects that were being planned - nothing "impending or emergency"; I was classified as "essential".  I was never sent home and I'm pretty sure that my paycheck was not very late.  There are a lot of families that do depend on each paycheck coming on time, but I still support the government shutdown.  Obviously, it is going to take extremes to get Congress to wake up long enough to do their job.  I support the Republican attempt to get the budget under some miniscule control.  I believe we should have a balanced budget requirement in the Constitution.  I also think we should deduct a day's pay for every day that the Congress does not get a budget passed.  I am sick to death of the demagoguery, the demonization of the tea party and anyone who is trying to save this country from total ruin.

Laura Ingram put it in perspective last night. Only essential personnel is needed.

I just called the local PP...they "actually" don't do mammograms or cancer screenings....they refer women to St Vincents. What if they were forced to, in order to get all that money every year (Where does it all go, with no expensive machinery to buy and maintain?) To actually contribute to life instead of only death. Truth has totally ceased to be important, except to us, it appears.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
