ACTION ITEM: U.S. Senate will vote tomorrow on the confirmation of Loretta Lynch, President Obama's nominee for Attorney General.

The U.S. Senate will vote tomorrow on the confirmation of Loretta Lynch, President Obama's nominee for Attorney General.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has decided to give the Democrats what they want rather than blocking this extreme and unqualified nominee.

Also, because of Senator McConnell's unwillingness to reverse the decision by Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) to eliminate the filibuster on nominations, the Democrats only need four Republicans to vote with them to confirm Loretta Lynch.

Republicans should reject the Lynch nomination.

In her confirmation hearings, Lynch could not identify any limits on the president's executive power and said she believes executive amnesty is legal and constitutional.

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/terence-p-jeffrey/ag-nominee-defend...

However, that is not the only reason that we need to try and stop her confirmation:

Former representative, presidential candidate and former U.S. Air Force flight surgeon, Dr. Ron Paul (R-Texas) has given some dire warnings about Ms. Lynch. Dr. Paul is concerned that Ms. Lynch will aggressively increase what is called “civil asset forfeiture,” an Orwellian term more properly described as civil asset “theft.” It’s where the government seizes cash, vehicles and other private property from individuals merely suspected of wrongdoing, without evidence, formal charges or specific crime.

Writing at Dr. Paul’s website, John Tate, Campaign for Liberty president and good friend of Dr. Paul’s, said Ms. Lynch’s confirmation must be stopped at all costs. Ms. Lynch should be nationally known as the “queen” of civil asset “theft,” wrote Tate. He points out that as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York, Ms. Lynch’s office seized nearly a billion dollars’ worth of private property under the guise of civil asset forfeiture just in 2013. The Internal Revenue Service is used as the federal goon enforcers to confiscate property and assets.
“There is no doubt Ms. Lynch will continue her asset theft policies once she becomes AG,” wrote Tate.

In a Senate hearing, Ms. Lynch boldly declared this method a “useful” and “wonderful tool.” As the Homeland Security definition of a terrorist has now been expanded to include all those who praise the Founding Fathers, or criticize the U.S. dollar, millions of Americans could be targets for asset theft.

It also seems certain that Ms. Lynch plans to continue Holder’s practice of unilaterally expanding the authority of the Executive Branch and federal power.
In recent Senate hearings, Ms. Lynch was asked by Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) about her views on the constitutionality of the National Security Agency’s warrant-less wiretapping program. Without hesitating, Ms. Lynch called the program “constitutional and effective.”
She has refused to state whether or not the president has the power to use drone strikes to kill American citizens on U.S. soil.

Ms. Lynch also supports Obama’s use of executive orders to overturn the will of Congress and write new laws as only he sees fit.

Four Republican senators have already publicly declared their support for Ms. Lynch. If all Democrats vote along party lines, Ms. Lynch will get 50 votes, requiring Joe Biden as the vice president to cast the deciding vote.

The only difference between Loretta Lynch and Eric Holder is that Lynch has told everyone that she will ignore the law BEFORE her confirmation vote.

Voting to confirm Lynch now would be a clear violation of a senator's oath to support and defend the Constitution.

ACTION ITEM:

Please call these Republicans and urge them to oppose the nomination of Loretta Lynch for Attorney General.

Unfortunately, these five Republican Senators have said they intend to vote for Lynch's nomination.
1. Susan Collins (R-ME) – (202) 224-2523
2. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) – (202) 224-4521
3. Lindsay Graham (R-SC) – (202) 224-5972
4. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) – (202) 224-5251
5. Mark Kirk (R-IL) – (202) 224-2854

Also, please don't be fooled when Senator McConnell votes against the nomination. If he truly opposed Lynch, he would have either blocked her nomination from reaching the floor, gotten 51 Republicans to oppose her, or reversed Harry Reid's "nuclear option" so the nomination could be filibustered with 41 votes.

Call Senator McConnell, his phone number is (202) 224-2541. Ask him why he isn't working to "crush" liberal nominations like he works to "crush" conservative Senate candidates.

McConnell is not interested in hearing from "we the people" on any issue...

and, neither is the rest of the the people's three branches of Federal government.

Continuing to think the "people" have any input in their government is foolishness and denial.

American citizens have lost their Country to their government.  Local, State, Federal government controls every area, every aspect, every second of life in America.  There is nothing a person does in America that is not either directly or indirectly controlled by government.

Your money, paycheck, earnings does not belong to you.  It belongs to government.   Elected representatives of government just tell you how much of it you can have for your use.

As it has always been...People (individuals) have a choice.   Either endure oppression or resist.

The American people have been enduring oppression.

Trying to reach Senator McConnell's office again today, didn't pan out............once again.  Only a recording with no ability to leave a message.  Is he interested in hearing from "we the people" on this important issue?

If you tweet here is some contact information.

The US administration has chosen a worse liberal than Eric Holder to succeed him as US Attorney General.  Loretta Lynch faces a Senate confirmation vote (now tied to the Human Trafficking bill) in which all Democrats will  vote for her.  They need four Republicans.  Amazingly, they have four at least!!  This nefarious “Gang of Four” includes Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, @GrahamBlog ; Jeff Flake of Arizona,  @JeffFlake ;Orrin Hatch of Utah, @SenOrrinHatch ; and Susan Collins of Maine,  @SenatorCollins   .

There are also several uncommitted Republican Senators including Mark Kirk of Illinois,  @SenatorKirk and Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, @SenAlexander   . However, Alexander is somewhat uncomfortable with Lynch, especially her “refusal to put limits on the president’s executive power.”

Another undecided Senator is Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.  McConnell previously promised to oppose Lynch if she supported the President’s executive action granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Now that the vote is nearing, McConnell is non-committal. This is another reminder that the Republicans are so very poorly served by McConnell.

#‎LorettaLynch MUST NOT BE CONFIRMED As the Attorney General of the USA! We DO NOT WANT another Eric Holder! Currently, Lynch has the backing of all Senate Democrats and four Republicans.  Please join a tweet rally from Tuesday until the confirmation vote to tell the Senate not to confirm Loretta Lynch.  Please ask everyone you know to join in.  Below are several flavors of suggested tweets

I say bring it on ---the sooner we can bring this country to its final resting place as a third world crappy country the sooner we can bring on the inevitable rebellion. As a reminder for anybody who cares I despise the country and love and cherish our beloved Constitution. I am ashamed at what we have become.

Mcconnell has taken Harry Reid's position in the Senate as Senate Majority leader and as obama's man in the Senate.

The American people, as a Nation, have become the biggest group of FOOLS and willfully ignorant COWARDS on the planet.

Some more info I just received.
NumbersUSA has notified every U.S. Senator that our Immigration Grade Cards will score a vote for U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch to be our nation's next Attorney General as a vote for amnesty and against American workers.
As explained below, urging the rejection of a presidential nominee is something we have done rarely and not a decision we made lightly in this case.
Tell your Senators why to reject

CAPITOL SWITCHBOARD -- 202-224-3121
We are asking our national grassroots network of citizens to contact their Senators with the message that Loretta Lynch, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, should not be confirmed as U.S. Attorney General because of her lack of acknowledgement of the importance of immigration laws to protect vulnerable American workers her dismissive attitude about the need for immigration laws to be obeyed, particularly by government officials and agencies.
Please dial the number above and ask for your U.S. Senator's office. Below is the message we sent to Senate offices. Please use any of the talking points listed in your conversation with the Senator's staff.
The Office of the Attorney General, the top law enforcement office in the country, is a position that should be reserved for qualified individuals with the utmost regard for the rule of law. Unfortunately, while Ms. Lynch has served honorably as the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, she indicated during the confirmation process that she does not have that regard for duly enacted immigration laws.

She deemed "reasonable" President Obama's unprecedented and unconstitutional amnesties. For a candidate wishing to serve as the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, the only acceptable response to the President's abdication of the law and the Constitution is unequivocal rejection.

Her dismissive attitude about the seriousness of enforcing immigration laws was largely explained in her initial answer to Senate questioning about whether the priority for U.S. jobs should be that they go to unlawfully present foreign workers or to legal workers of our nation.

Ms. Lynch answered that everybody should be getting U.S. jobs regardless of their legal status, despite the fact that the primary purpose of immigration laws is to protect vulnerable American workers. This attitude toward the law--particularly laws protecting American workers--is unacceptable for a candidate wishing to serve as the Attorney General of the United States.

Accordingly, NumbersUSA is forced to score a vote for the confirmation of Ms. Lynch as a vote against the Constitution, against the rule of law, and against the interests of American workers.
Full opposition to a presidential nominee is not common at NumbersUSA, although we may often express specific concerns and questions. I speak for myself in saying that Ms. Lynch in many ways appears to have been an excellent choice for the nomination. I was disappointed that she stumbled so badly on immigration issues during the con firmation process.
As a practical matter, delaying confirmation of a new Attorney General would seem to keep in place the current Atty. Gen. Holder who has performed his duties abysmally when it comes to upholding any number of immigration laws passed by Congress. Nothing suggests that Ms. Lynch could be any worse in this regard. But with the President and his Administration challenging the constitutional separation of powers on one immigration matter after another, this is not a time to be confirming on the basis of somebody being less abysmal than another in disrespecting the rule of immigration laws.
LYNCH APPROVES EXECUTIVE AMNESTIES
Ms. Lynch's most direct indication that she does not have the utmost respect for the rule of law in the area of immigration was in her pronouncing Pres. Obama's executive amnesties as reasonable.
I've struggled with what Ms. Lynch could have said when asked about the President's executive actions. I don't think we can seriously expect a President to nominate somebody who would tell Congress in the confirmation hearing that the President is breaking the law. But surely a nominee for this post could reserve some judgment, give some sign of intending to be the independent official the job requires, and pledge to review the issues carefully as they arise, rather than treat as settled the actions that are widely believed to be -- or suspected of being -- unconstitutional.
Perhaps the most important fact to remember about the President's executive amnesties is that they have offered work permits to millions of unlawfully present foreign citizens so that they can compete for every U.S. job that opens up while tens of millions of working-age Americans remain outside the workplace.
LYNCH THINKS ILLEGAL ALIENS SHOULD HAVE U.S. JOBS
Ms. Lynch magnified her dismissive attitude about the seriousness of enforcing immigration laws in her gut-reaction answer to Senate questioning about who should be getting U.S. jobs as they open up. Although numerous court rulings over our history have confirmed that a primary purpose of immigration laws is to protect vulnerable workers of our national community, Ms. Lynch answered that as long as illegal aliens are in this country she wanted them to be holding jobs. This was an incredible answer. The would-be Attorney General seemed to be saying that despite the fact that illegal aliens would probably need to have broken several laws to obtain a U.S. job, she was just fine with their lawlessness.
Rather than rising to the level we should expect of our highest law enforcement official, Ms. Lynch seemed to sink to the level of many nationally known religious leaders and editorial writers of major newspapers who over recent years have begun to treat immigration laws as somehow illegitimate. At their base, these beliefs reveal a callous attitude toward the members of our national community who struggle to find jobs or, if they have jobs, who struggle to make ends meet because of the depressed wages.
What these opponents of immigration laws generall y share is a fair amount of rhetoric about the importance of justice for the weaker members of our society while allowing themselves to look the other way from the millions of those weaker members who are economically drowning in the nation's surplus pools of labor.
The anti-worker surplus results in part because our immigration laws invite too many foreign workers each year and in part because federal officials during the last four Administrations have largely refused to enforce what restrictions Congress has put on the flow of foreign workers.
Every country has immigration restrictions to protect its workers. Every country's wor kers deserve to have a leader of law enforcement who will see that those laws and protections are enforced.
Despite failing to show understanding of that in her confirmation hearings, Ms. Lynch might have prevented us from taking this action against her if she had subsequently made a full-throated apology for her earlier remarks and then made convincing statements that she recognizes the importance of immigration laws in protecting the American public's economic and physical security and that she respects the primacy that the Constitution gives Congress on this issue. She did not. We urge her rejection, especially for the sake of our country's most vulnerable workers.
