Please take a look at the map prepared by the Center for Immigration Studies, showing 340 sanctuary cities, counties, and states across the U.S. Senate Votes TODAY on Sanctuary Cities Bill |
Your activism forced this vote...
But to get the 60 votes required to pass, we have to turn up the pressure up more
Finally! We have our vote on a Senate bill to shut down sanctuary policies! NumbersUSA and our millions of grassroots activists like YOU have been fighting all summer long to get this bill to the floor.
And finally, it is a reality.
On Tuesday, we'll see which Senators are willing to vote to stop Sanctuary cities, counties and states. . .
. . . and which Senators vote to allow criminal aliens to victimize U.S. citizens.
Senator David Vitter's bill (S.2146) will crack down on Sanctuary Cities by:
It's positively shameful that 340 local governments have policies helping lllegal aliens evade justice for their crimes. These lawless jurisdictions have helped more than 1,000 criminal aliens per month avoid deportation. Then, these Sanctuary jurisdictions look to Washington expecting Americans to pay for the expenses of their illegal aliens!
Of course, for a local community to refuse to honor federal immigration laws is ALREADY illegal! But the federal government does nothing to stop them. The Vitter bill (S.2146) cuts off certain federal grants to Sanctuary Jurisdictions. And it INCREASES penalties for criminal aliens who illegally return to the United States.
We NEED this law! But Senate rules requires 60 votes for most bills to move forward! We have to up the pressure now.
Lots of people have been talking about cutting off funds for governments that aid illegal aliens. But this bill goes a step further. It provides immunity from legal liability to local officials cooperating with federal immigration officers. Local officials shouldn't fear retribution for following the law!
Not only that, but the bill requires the creation of a public list of all sanctuary jurisdictions. And if any alien who has been deported or removed, or who left before they could be removed shows up back in the United States, they face tougher penalties.
If Sen. Vitter's bill becomes law, in the future, five-time deported criminals like Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, who killed Kate Steinle in San Francisco on July 1, would be in federal custody for judgment.
Getting a majority of Senators to vote for Sen. Vitter's bill isn't so hard. But getting the necessary 60 votes to proceed to an open and public floor debate will be a HUGE challenge. Unless we up the pressure NOW and SHAME reluctant Senators into doing the right thing, we won't make it.
Tell them to vote YES!!! We want and need this bill - Senator David Vitter's bill (S.2146)

Comment
As long as conservatives play the issue by issue game with this communist government they will lose every time.
Learn a lesson from Americans that finally confronted King George and told him to stuff his abusive government all together......
They also tried dealing with George on a issue by issue, abuse by abuse bases and finally realized that was foolishness.....
They had to kick him out no matter the costs.....
either stand up totally or continue going down in defeat......
Update: Sad day for America and Americans..Many in the Senate must believe that not is it OK to have illegals in our country but that it is ok to close your eyes to crime...Murder in the case of one young woman Shame on them and may God help us all.

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
