will oppose passage in the U.S. Senate!

The DREAM ACT (the Development, Relief and Education of Alien Minors Act) was originally proposed by Sen. Orrin Hatch [R-UT] and Sen. Dick Durbin [D-IL] in 2001. Every Congress since 2001 has attempted to enact it either as a stand alone bill or as a rider on every immigration bill proffered by either the House or the Senate. While the legislation initially had bipartisan support since the path to citizenship for illegals came through military service to our nation, that changed. When the far left took control of both Houses of Congress in 2007, the Dream Act changed with the political philosophy of those in power. In 2009, the Dream Act was introduced for the fifth time. This time, it was no longer a bipartisan bill. The 2009 version was proffered by Durbin and Congressman Howard Berman [D-CA].

Today, thanks to thousands of faxes sent to the Senate by irate voters who are opposed to it, Senator Hatch has reconsidered his position and has officially stated he is now opposed to the Dream Act. One down... more to go. The cloture vote taken by Sen. Harry Reid to end debate on the Dream Act and bring it to the floor for a vote was defeated. Had the vote on the Dream Act been taken on Thursday, it would also have gone down in defeat.

Reid is not going to let that happen. Instead, expect the private, back room deals with Democrats who oppose passage. This is how the far left "legislates." When Reid and the social progressives make it profitable for those opposing the measure to accept it, Reid will call for an immediate vote and ram it through the Senate. We cannot assume because the American people oppose this bill, and that those in the Senate who are speaking "on the record" and are saying the same thing, that they will actually cast their vote against it. WE CANNOT ASSUME.

When the bill passed in the House on Wed., Dec. 8, House members voted 216 to 198 in favor of passage. The 21 abstaining votes could have killed the measure. Why did they abstain? Why did they not vote. Because, when they run for reelection, they can tell their constituents with a straight face that they did NOT vote for AMNESTY!

FOX-13 News in Salt Lake City reported that as the DREAM ACT stalled in the Senate on Thursday Sen. Hatch literally changed his position on the legislation. So did Sen. Bob Bennett, who is now expected to vote against the measure. YOU DID THAT! Your efforts appear to have swayed at least two U.S. Senate votes. PLEASE DO NOT STOP NOW WHEN WE ARE THIS CLOSE TO WINNING!

Senate Republicans, who are demanding that Congress renew all of the Bush tax cuts before they will allow a Senate vote said they will filibuster the Dream Act. In the House, six Republicans crossed the line and voted in favor of the Dream Act. Thirty-eight Democrats voted against the measure.

Sen. Harry Reid polished the verbiage of the Dream Act to find those elusive 60 votes to send the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act to Barack Obama for his signature. When he thinks he has the votes he needs, he will call for a vote.

Reid promised amnesty supporters that there would be a floor vote on the Dream Act during the lame duck session, and since it has passed in the House, he will not pass up his one moment to shine in the sun.

That is precisely why we---YOU and me---must be even more vigilant. More than ever, we need to continue faxing every single Member of our United States Senate. We need every member of the Senate to understand the American people are watching... and because the American people voted NO to the Dream Act they are very determined to vote NO on the reelection of any member of Congress---the House or the Senate---who votes, or voted, "yes".

The Senate can vote on the Amnesty bill on a moment's notice---if Reid feels he can ram it through. Reid believes he will have the votes he needs to make it official. Your action RIGHT NOW IS CRITICAL! Right now, the Amnesty advocacy is ecstatic because they believe they have won! Because illegal aliens themselves and their supporters got their message to the House of Representatives in larger numbers than the majority of America who opposes the social progressive Dream Act, it passed in the House of Representatives.

We must NOT let the supporters of AMNESTY get away with this last-ditch attempt to violate the will of the PEOPLE---but we need YOUR help to let them know WE'RE ON TO THEM! We need to be more vocal than the illegal aliens and their supporters who were largely responsible for the House vote. WE CAN'T LET IT HAPPEN TODAY!

We all know that the far Left has been pushing for years to get full amnesty for all 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. But now they know their time is short---this is their LAST CHANCE to pass it before they lose their majority, and the Tea Party Republicans take over Congress.

Now, let's be clear about what this bill is: IT'S AN AMNESTY BILL. The DREAM Act was first proposed in 2000, and it has been re-introduced in successive Congresses, including as recently as 2009. Neither chamber acted on the legislation until now due to overwhelming opposition from the American public.

We must do everything within our power to STOP the Dream Act in the Senate. We cannot permit MILLIONS of illegals from doing something that is ILLEGAL! What can we tell our children on how to obey the laws, when the U.S. government turns their heads and allows illegal aliens to come into this country!!

Most of America is against this Amnesty Bill. How about you?

DO YOU GET IT? Once again, the left is ignoring the wishes of the American people---AND the law itself---in order to give AMNESTY to millions of illegal aliens, which can open the door to granting MORE Amnesty to millions MORE illegals!

Since we don't know what bag of tricks Reid has up his sleeve, we may literally be minutes away from victory or defeat! If Reid thinks we've stopped watching, don't be surprised if he tries to pass it with a voice vote rather than a recorded vote. That way, no one can be blamed by the voters for its passage. At least five Democrats who voted against the DREAM Act in the past---Conrad, Dorgan, McCaskill, Pryor and Landrieu---have said they are UNCERTAIN on how they would vote this time; and four Republicans are still UNCERTAIN since Lugar, Brown, LeMieux and Collins are on the record as saying they WOULD vote for the DREAM ACT as a stand-alone bill.
