The phones are ringing off the hook for tea party interviews regarding the possible Government shutdown.  This is the biggest news in a long time and they want to hear from us.

 

We have our opinion and hope to hear yours.

Seems to me if they could ram through Obamacare they could have rammed through a budget. This was merely political strategy to give them ground cover to attack the tea party... The worst enemy they have ever had to deal with... It also takes up press time and distracts from more important issues. If it wasn't for the tea parties sucess and the political fear of what that means this budget would have been rubber stamped and forgotten by now. I would bet there are even Republicans hoping this alienates the tea party.

Shut it down!  And the Republicans need to grow a spine and aggressively attack the Democrats.  The Dems did not do their job.  They swore to defend and uphold the Constitution and yet, they didn't bother with a 2011 budget.  It is their fault.  They are the reason we are in this situation.  All of the ancillary liberal democrat distractions, ie killing women, doing away with women's health screening, Grandma eating dogfood...  those are just desperate attempts to distract and scare and create campaign talking points for 2012.

 

I know this is too late for your panel, but I feel better now.

Making major cuts in Federal spending is essential for the survival of this Country.  If it takes shutting down the Federal Government to get meaningful cuts, then do it. 

I don’t say that lightly.  I work for the Federal government and it will make it difficult for me to pay my mortgage and other bills.  But, if the $14 Trillion in debt is not slashed, America and Americans will be in danger of becoming a weak second rate country that can not defend against its enemies or compete in the global market place.

  THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE MISMANAGMENT FOR YEARS HAVE SWIPED A CREDIT CARD THROUGH  THAT SHOULD HAVE HAVE BEEN "DECLINED" BUT WASN'T. THAT IS ONE OF THE REASONS FOR THE MASSIVE DEBT. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN REINED IN MANY YEARS AGO. IF A BUISNESS CAN NOT PAY ITS WAY THE SUPLIERS PUT THEM ON COD.SAME WITH EMPLOYEES, IF THE PAY CHECK BOUNCES THEY DONT COME TO WORK FOR YOU ANY MORE.
