The phones are ringing off the hook for tea party interviews regarding the possible Government shutdown.  This is the biggest news in a long time and they want to hear from us.

 

We have our opinion and hope to hear yours.

 

What do you think about this potential shutdown?

Shut it down.  This is much ado over only 3% of the expenses.  Imagine if they were making a REAL budget cut.  How much screaming would we have to endure then?

Billie did a great job. It is a shame it was 3 liberals against one conservative. Billie should have asked Donna, "what compromise did Obama do when he rammed Health Care down our throats".

It is high time we attack the enemy (Democrats and Communists) as hard as we can. We need to fight to WIN, or this nation will be destroyed from within.

Shut it down and finally be the leaders that conservitism has been yelling for, for years now. These Democommies are cowards if you just stand up to them. They only see one side, the one that gets them reelected by padering to the people in this country that won't get up and take care of themselves. It's not brotherly love to place undue hardship on your brothers, in having to not only take care of themselves but their lazy neighbors as well.

Personally i think they have reach their goal in changing the discussion in Congress from spending, investing to cutting. Keep in mind in ALL of the Continuing Resolutions (C.R.s) that were (7 or 8) passed resulted in billions of dollars being cut. 

 

I was listening to EXTREMIST Progressive Chuckie Schumer demonizing the GOP and he and the DNC put out a fundraiser letter and ad asking for donations while doing the same thing to the GOP this week.

 

That is unconscionable.

 

Again they have created a crisis and are taking advantage of it. He and several other Democrats did the exact same thing, sending out letters asking for campaign donations right after Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot last year.

As a veteran and former civil service worker I am familiar with shutdowns. Our military should not be used as pawns as a part of this discussion and should never face pay disputes. Other government workers should know their jobs are not secure and should perform that way. What seems to be the real issue here is the funding of abortions. Are we One Nation Under God or are we under His Judgement. It is time to stop funding Planned Parenthood, period. Then we can start enforcing term limits so we can do away with pensions and lifetime tax payer funded medical insurance for these people in office. Abolish the IRS and go to a consumption tax. (i.e. fair Tax) Later we can put all the other non-productive departments on the chopping block. I guess that would be all of them. Case closed.

Please shut it down !!! It will be a good thing for people to see we can do just fine without much of the Federal Government ! The States can run almost everything the citizens need, we just need to work on a national defence.

Shut it down....and forget starting it back up for a long time! Congress should get day jobs and meet once a quarter. Let the states do what they wanna do in the meantime. All these "non-essential" programs they have are just that; non-essential. Just provide a common defense and we're good! I bet we can save a trillion by this winter!
