TU: National education group to assist in Duval superintendent search

This is interesting, and like you probably will have, I had questions about whether this $4,500 was money well spent or just another way to spend more money.  Of late, I am very wary of anything education given the propensity to use our public schools for propaganda and numerous other things that have nothing to do with education.  I took the liberty of looking up both the founder of CRSS and the current president Cathy Mincberg.  Please take a look at these folks as I think you will be very impressed with the organization, and the man who started it, and  it's current president, but you be the judge (see info about the folks below article).

A national group that ties classroom success to education  policy will advise Duval County School Board members today on how to move  forward in hiring a new superintendent.

The Houston-based Center for Reform of School Systems will guide board  members in the pre-work process, according to organization President Cathy  Mincberg. That means ensuring the board comes together with a common vision of  the type of superintendent to seek.

"This group has been through enough to know that the big, controversial  decisions — and hiring a superintendent is always potentially controversial — need as large a majority as you can get," Mincberg said. "They have been through  a huge amount of training that helps them focus on student achievement."

The board will be replacing Superintendent Ed Pratt-Dannals at the end of  his contract in December. It hopes to have a candidate in place when he  leaves.

Dr Cathy Mincbed, President and CEO for The Center for the Reform of School Systems
I urge you to take a look at Dr. Mincbeg's credentials if you have concern about whether this money is being well spent as you will see many things in her resume and on her about page that might lead you to believe this might be money well spent if Jacksonville can get someone like her as president of the board of education here in Jacksonville.  I see many things in both her resume and on her about page that lead me to believe this may be a good move by the city, and $4,500 well spent.
Don McAdams, Founder of CRSS

Some of the things, founder of CRSS Don Mc Adams did during the 12 years he was actually on a school board (2 terms as board president) are implementing school accountability and district decentralization, establish charter schools, outsource most HISD business functions to private contractors, institute more flexible personnel management policies, an academic core curriculum for high school students, a new elementary school reading curriculum and promotion standards.  In 2002, the US Secretary of Education Rod Paige appointed Mc Adams to the National Commission on Governance.  Governor Perry has also appointed him to a select committee charged with preparing legislative proposals and Mr. Mc Adams has a long list of other accomplishments.  Speaks well for the founder of this organization.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
