The Jacksonville City Council Auditor's Office is conducting a performance audit of the Police and Fire Pension Fund.
"We look at how they manage their assets, the most important being employees and money," said Council Auditor Kirk Sherman.
The audit, which started last week, is being done in conjunction with a look into the General Employee Pension Fund that started several months ago.
That scrutiny doesn't raise any concerns, said John Keane, executive director of the Police and Fire Pension Fund.
"We're an open book," Keane said. "They come in and ask us questions and we give them answers."
