Thursday night, Governor Scott held a tele-town hall for Grassroots leaders. He asked us to push out his message about cutting taxes. He ran on this platform, he is trying to get the cuts and he has to work with the state legislator to make it happen.
The unions have camped out almost daily in the halls of our State Capitol for weeks. They are pressuring our elected officials and some of them are beginning to cave. We were there recently when the unions were there and you can see the video here:
It is time for us to do what we can. Going to Tally and standing in the halls with the unions is one way and the other way is to email each of the representatives and call them. First Coast Tea Party is a member of the Florida Alliance, an organization of tea party/grassroots leaders, and we have created an easy way to contact the state legislators. You can click here to find out how:

Over the weekend we have heard that Hairodopolous is starting to cave. He wants to run for Bill Nelson's seat and if he isn't able to pull off a tax cut for us -- he will have a difficult time getting our endorsement for his Senate run.
Make your calls all week. Put pressure on them. Email them. Do what you can. We need a break and let's start with a property tax cut now!

Very easy, here is what I sent.
First, thank you for your service and sacrifice. As a fellow Floridian, I am deeply concerned that Governor Scott's budget recommendations may not be included in current legislation, which is ironically sad as this is the reason he was elected. I urge you and your fellow representatives and senators to pass the budget with Governor Scott's recommendations. Every state is experiencing budget shortfalls, but if Florida creates a business friendly environment, we will become both competitive and attractive for business expansion. I have been unemployed now for 4 years and would love to be working; Governor Scott's vision will foster business growth and offer employment opportunities to thousands of Floridians like myself.
The Florida electorate is closely watching the records of our elected officials and will not pay attention to mainstream media sound bites. That being said, we will elect officials that actually represent our voice.
Thank you for including the "votervoice.net" link. It was very easy to use and get emails out to my representatives.
If you want to take a bus group to Tallahassee -count me in.
I am a Conservative, Republican and an Education Union Rep who helped sway votes toward Rick Scott. I also write a Conservative slanted Blog that is heavy on reality not fantasy.
I was also p/o'ed that the money I and my fellow educators spend in dues went, mostly unnoticed, to Alex Sink. Seems to me Walking Lawton didn't do much for Education. Do I like everything Gov. Scott is doing, no, but I support him just the same. Oh and why are FIrefighters and Police exempt from the upcoming House and Senate Bills that are going to screw with me? Didn't their unions also push Sink down our throats? Yes, Education has some bad Teachers and Aids, but when was the last time you sat with your kid and 26 others in a room for one day let alone 9 months? Try being a Sub or ask one of the Teacher's Aids how much they make...the lowest police and fire employee makes more and yet WE SUPPORT GOV. SCOTT and like me, many are TEA PARTY MEMEBERS but unlike me afraid to openly say so. I'm a TEA PARTY MEMBER AND MY UNION KNOWS IT!!!

Hi all: Go to the link and vote that Rick Scott is doing a good job. The press is trying their best to make him look bad!
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
