The Florida Rattle Tale: Priest: Why is Obama so Intent on Destroying Catholic Ministries? He’s a Socialist

Our religious freedom is under attack by this president.  Totally shameful and totally unAmerican.

Priests and deacons are now being allowed, or perhaps even encouraged, to speak to their parishes about the obamacare mandate that will force Catholics to violate their moral consciences.

Obama is treading on thin ice. Attacking the Catholic community in an election year is not a wise move!

Obama cannot take the Catholic vote for granted. In the presidential election of 2008, Obama won 54 % of the Catholic votes to McCain’s 45%. However, in the 2004 election, John Kerry, a Catholic, only carried 47% of the Catholics while 52% voted for George Bush. Many Catholics are not loyal to one political party.

Democrats, like Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and the MSNBC anchors are desperately trying to shift the narrative away from religious liberty to that of reproductive rights. Even going so far as saying the GOP has declared a war on women. But, the Bishops aren’t fooled. They realize that it is actually the Democrat Party that has declared war. And, it is the Catholic Church that has come under-attack.

So Patricia, what you are saying is this, If these accusations I made were true, then you would be outraged that Republicans across this country have decided this is the year they all attack. Other than Virginia,Texas, Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina, Alabama and Pennsylvania have bills before them that explicitly call for transvaginal ultrasounds. The other states I mentioned implicitly require this, so they shouldn't be counted.

The Arizona law that allows a doctor to lie  to woman regarding her condition or that of the fetus is also being considered in Kansas and Oklahoma.

Marco Rubio was the co-sponsor of a bill that said your employer got to say whether or not contraceptives were covered by your insurance.

1100 bills nationwide proposed that seek to have the government determine how you should best conduct reproduction, because god knows they know better.

I watched a segment on O'Reilly where two very conservative women agreed with me on this one.

If Republicans think they can afford to act as though conservative women will be there  for them on election day if they continue this onslaught, well think again. 53% of voters are women, with a large segment of that group independents, like myself. Trust me when I say, this is a game changer for me.

I will not support a politician who thinks he  or she knows what is best for me as far as my uterus is concerned. I know what is best for me and only me. I have no wish to limit, restrict, deny, determine what is best for any other woman and her uterus, it isn't my business. Nor do those rights belong to any state or other government. That is crazy theocratic horsepoo, and it is timee for this nonsense to end.

Please do not refer to me as a liberal because I will not allow a government to determine these things for me Patricia. If that IS liberal, then maybe I am liberal, because on this issue, I will not be assuaged.

Amanda, you really should look into some of the liberal blogs.  You would be much happier because you would have people who actually agree with everything you say.  Don't hold your breath for me to do that, because I don't have the time to check every thing you listed, but I am willing to bet I would find out most of the things listed are liberal talking points that have very little to do with factual actions.  Further, what the federal government is doing violates the first amendment; I know you don't like to hear that and prefer to make it about birth control pills and abortions.  It isn't.  It is about forcing someone to violate their beliefs and commit a mortal sin.  It is also about shuttering hospitals and charities that help countless people who don't want abortions and birth control bills but actually need help feeding their families and need actual medical care which these wonderful institutions offer free to the needy.  It is also a proven fact that they do it cheaper and more efficiently that the government can do it, but the government wants to run them out of business, so they can make tax payers pay for those services run by the government.  Please take your liberal garbage to a liberal blog or back to the OWS or what ever liberal group you belong to!

Patricia, the provision in the health bill does allow for religious conscience objections. However the qualifying provision is that the religious groups reject all forms of government assistance. The most notable exemption is the Amish. They do not take Social Security or Medicare as a whole. Most other religious sects will not qualify for this exemption. The Koran looks upon insurance as a form of gambling, but it allows for those insurances that are mandated, such as car insurance, homeowners, etc., to be purchased by its adherents.

Catholics schools and hospitals can opt out also( churches are already exempt), they would then lose access to all federal monies.

But let's talk about the "war" on women by the Republicans.

In Arizona the Senate approved a measure that allows a doctor to lie to their patient if it prevetns an abortion.

1100 bills have been filed in states with Republican in charge to limit, impede, harrass, and deny womens acces to abortion and birth control.

Transvaginal ultrasounds are in bills in no less than ten states.

Texas has defunded women's health care in the state, a move that cost them 30 million in federal funding.

The only sure way to not get pregnant, is to be a man. Rick Santorum suggested that we should only have sex within a marriage and for reproductive purposes. I support that. I bet these bills would fall away pretty wuickly if men were cut off.

And breaking the first amendment and freedom of religion which he has done over and over if you watch carefully (Muslims were exempted from the health care because of their beliefs).  Right now if it offends Muslims, they get what they want but no one else will rest assured.  He said we were a Muslim country, and he will do whatever he has to to make that statement as true as possible.  Obama knows the Catholic church manages to provide for the needy far more efficiently than the government ever could, and I don't think he likes the competition nor, as you point, out does he like not to have control over the people the church helps (no strings attached)..............if he can drive the church off, he can poor mouth them some more as well as ramming this unwholly mandate down their throats.  He does not care one bit about the people who will be left wanting.  He is a truly evil man.

We should all know this has nothing to do with birth control and everything to do with government control of the the people.

This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
