Fox: Obama Takes Aim at Supreme Court, Calls Them 'Unelected Group of People'

I watched the speech (the daily trip into ad nauseam), and I could certainly take issue with a few of the things he said as I am sure pretty much any non-liberal might (and maybe even a few liberals).  One, would be, the Czars who were not approved by the senate and are certainly not elected officials, but we are dealing with liberal thinking which rarely makes any sense.  Two, might be, all those department heads of various departments in Washington who write regulation, that is basically law, and are not elected.  And how about the head of HHS?  She isn't elected, and she plays God with our health care, and from where I am sitting, that is pretty serious stuff and the person should at least be approved by the senate or elected.

President Obama hosted a North American summit with Canadian Prime Minister Harper and Mexican President Felipe Calderon today at the White House.

During this summit, the President commented on the recent Supreme Court hearings on his signature healthcare law.

Obama remains 'confident' that the law will be upheld and felt he had to remind 'conservative commentators'  that for four years they complained of 'judicial activism' and that an 'unelected group of people' would overturn a 'duly constituted and passed law' , a scenario he compared his healthcare fight to.

PRESIDENT OBAMA:

"There is not only an economic element to this, a legal element to this, but there is a human element to this. And I hope that's not forgotten in this political debate

Ultimately, I'm confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected congress.
 
And I would like to remind conservative commentators that for years what we have heard is that the biggest problem is judicial activism and that an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law.
 
Well, this is a good example and I’m pretty confident this court will recognize that and not take that step”

Oh, Amanda, is very good at repeating the same thing over and over even when you post an article that contradicts he stand totally as we have. She is not about having a conversation. She is about starting an argument and continuing the argument in spite of anything and everything someone else says.

Why don't you go back to whatever liberal group you belong to.  Who needs your crap.  You love Obamacare?  You are in the minority.  The majority of Americans did not want it passed and it is less popular today than it was when it was passed.   You said you don't mind being in the minority or standing alone............so you are once again in the minority.   Gee, some time you will have to let us know which Obama site you go to to get instant responses you can use in almost every situation.

Exxon Shipping v Baker is a classic case that defines the Roberts court. Citizens United another. And now it is okay and right for law enforcement to strip search anyone they have arrested for whatever reason.
