Next week, dozens of big business groups will help fly conservative business owners, faith leaders, farmers, and law enforcement officials in to Washington to push for a blanket amnesty. And just this morning, House Speaker John Boehner told reporters at his press briefing that he would still like to pass an immigration bill before the end of the year.

It's important that Congress hears from you before next week's fly-in!

The McCaul-Jackson Lee border bill, H.R.1417, has already passed through the House Homeland Security Committee with bipartisan support, and it is likely Speaker Boehner may bring this bill to the House floor, thus making it the potential vehicle for conference with the Senate amnesty bill.

The bill - improperly called the Border Security Results Act - will do anything but deliver results on the border. The bill weakens current law and simply calls for the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to develop a plan to secure the border. Should DHS not implement its own plan, the bill only requires the Secretary to send a report to Congress explaining why.

The bill also weakens current federal law in at least three major areas:

  • Current law requires DHS to achieve and maintain full operational control of both land and maritime borders, but H.R.1417 only requires submission of a plan to gain control of high traffic areas and the Southwest border.
  • Current law defines operational control as the prevention of all unlawful entries, but H.R.1417 changes the definition to a 90% apprehension rate of all known unlawful entries as determined by DHS.
  • Current law requires a biometric entry/exit system at all ports of entry, but H.R.1417 allows DHS to replace a biometric system with an alternate plan.

The bill has already received accolades from amnesty advocates, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee. Rep. Jackson-Lee is a lead sponsor of the bill, while Rep. Pelosi has removed the Senate's border security plan from her amnesty bill (H.R.15) and replaced it with the McCaul-Jackson Lee bill.

Franklin, if Karl Rove has his way, we will have no voice at all while he and big business choose who we can vote for.....................which means folks will sit home again rather than vote for the rinos and turn coats we already have aiding and abetting our tyrant in the white house.  Mr. Rove wants to factor the people in this country out totally!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
