America's Candle: Lighting the World

This time of year our home is filled with candles of Christmas fragrance.  We light them when company drops in and at night sometimes, I’ll light them just for us.  The warm glow of a candle can sometimes make the dreary days better.

America’s candle has been under attack this year and the eternal flame of liberty has been blown out by bad legislation and Constitutional attacks.  The best thing about America’s candle is that our flame does not go out easily.

You’ve seen those candles on birthday cakes…the ones that when blown out the flame keeps coming back.  No matter how hard you blow on it, it just relights over and over again.  We laugh and finally have to drop them in a glass of water to extinguish the flame.

America’s like that.  No matter how hard the wind blows or how difficult the times are, Americans laugh at those who try to blow out our freedom flame.  They cannot do it!  It’s impossible because the American spirit is stronger than any winds or attacks that come against us. 

As the New Year approaches and 2010 becomes a new chapter in the history books, our flame is dangerously close to being extinguished.  With the will of the people and the efforts of the people, America will continue on and will once again be the light unto the world.

I was recently asked what would happen if America’s flame was eternally extinguished.  My answer, “God would have to create a new planet of hope.  Without America, this world would be hopeless.”  Take a look at the world and google its image.  You will see that America is the shining hill and no other country can take its place for the ragged, tattered masses that need a home and a place of hope.

We are counting on you, tea party members, to keep the candle glowing in 2011.  It will require the work of all – not just a few – to ensure the flame is protected against the winds of socialism and hate filled agendas. 

The world needs us, America.  The Tea Party Movement needs you.
