Steven, next week i am going to write a letter to my Congressional members and point out to them all the big businesses, unions,* high price restaurants in Pelosi's district and all the states that are getting waivers from a bill, that i DID NOT want passed and ask them to ask for a waiver for the WHOLE state of Florida not to participate period. My husband works and i have always had great insurance until this bill, now the company he works for dropped the great insurance because of the rules and greatly rising costs, we no longer have eye care, but we have a $10,000.00 per person deductible. First $10,000.00 you pay then insurance kicks in, i have always had 80% coverage until now and i am enraged. Pelosi, Reid, Obama, and all the marxist/socialist Congressional members LIED.  We do not have the same insurance coverage that we had before this bill was put into place. And the really MADDENING thing is we are still with the same insurance carrier Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida, but NOW there is a middle man involved. Before it was us, insurance company, doctor... Now it is us, company overseeing, insurance, doctor.

 

The American people should of been outraged when Congress did NOT READ the bill before they voted on it. They allowed 500 billion dollars to be taken OUT of medicare and UNAPPROPRIATED AND UNAUTHORIZED $105,464,000.00 BILLION dollars was snuck in ILLEGALLY without going through proper channels to started the bill up. Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann let the American people know several months ago what they found hidden in the bill. ALSO hidden in the bill is a tax/fee, for every $100,000.00 that you sale your home or property, you will HAVE TO PAY the federal government a 3.8% tax on the sales. IF your home is sold for $100,000.00 you owe the Federal government $3,800.00. If your home/property is worth $200,000.00 you owe them $7,600.00 and so on. AND we are paying these STUPID people to be our voice, our representative $174,000.00 plus a year with cadillac benefits, ins., pension along with $99,000.00 in petty cash (that was upped from $33,000.00 back in 2008.).

 

Keep in mind Steven, each time the government gets involved with ANYTHING it drives up costs. They started driving up in the 60's with Medicare, Medicaid, then in the 70's they introduced HMOs, PPOs etc., before you were: patient, doctor/health facility. NOW we are patient, insurance overseer, insurance company, doctor/health facility. Keep in mind ALSO each year the federal government pays a LOWER PERCENTAGE to doctors and health care facilities (no they do not PAY 100%, it is more like 60% now) and of course doctors and health care facilities are trying to make a small profit and meet payroll so they must past the cost of Medicare, Medicaid to private insurance/patients. IT is just going to get worst not better, think of ALL the staff the overseer, the insurance companies, the doctors, the health facilities must pay to coordinate ALL the above? If it was still just patient/doctor/ health facility, costs would be WAY down for obvious reasons, consumers will go where costs are reasonable period. Government IS THE PROBLEM.

 

*Note here, in the San Francisco district several years ago, Pelosi's district, they put a law into place that added several dollars onto menus, even fast food so that the restaurants could provide insurance for their employees, more than 30% restaurants folded because of lack of customers with the price hike. My daughter works in a high price restaurant and they carry Health Care insurance for their employees, because the owners own several other restaurants and some franchises so they get a good rate, WHY can small businesses net work and do the same? The federal government #$%&'s everything up that they touch... use your OWn iMaGiNATiON there.

JL Gawlik, I just finished reading your post. I am selfemployed and like many selfemployed men and women my spouse carried me on her health insurance. But when they passed the healthcare bill her monthly cost went up so high that we had to drop the coverage on me. My profit levels dropped so much that I could not afford to purchase insurance for myself, jobs are harder to land, materials are higher and fuel cost jumped so it cost more to run my machinery. I have got to ask myself where does this guy live? It certainly isn't in my country.

It's a legal issue, as well, in my opinion, for it leaves Tea Party commenters in a vulnerable position of not being able to support their comments without rounding up witnesses whose affirmations might be considered heresay. This is a customized web design that should be able to be changed in one area while left intact in others. Each page has html language that can be changed, for I was able to make such changes in copy, fonts, layout, color of background and letters, adding and removal of links, and so on... on my old website. If this is not possible on this website, the comments should be copied and pasted into a document before deleting them. I know you can do that, because I do it often, when I want to reword or correct something I've just posted, just to make it easier to post it again.

In other forums I've frequented, there is an option for the member to resign or be deleted, but the posts still show as part of the discussions, usually under the generic title (Guest). If they can be recovered and restored, we should.  The discussions lose their integrity (not to mention stop making sense) when posts disappear.  (I'm not a webmaster, either, so this is not meant as a demand, just a suggestion.)

Why can't the webmaster or web designer change it to just remove their membership and profile page and leave the comments untouched?  It's the comments that prove their foul language, false statements, and the harassment, race-baiting, and labeling of the Tea Party and its members.

I don't know if they can be recovered or not, but they would be helpful to show the racism, obstructions, labeling, and preachy agitating we were confronting, and "Le'Nodd" definitely accused us of being racist and marginalized.

It is a glitch in the system.  When we remove a member, it removes their dialogue.  That is the way the system (ning) is set up.  I don't like it either but have no way to work around it.
