17 Days until Nov 2: The Women of Mamma Mia

A few days ago I wrote about entering the teenage age days until November 2. The “teenagers” were in full force today and in case you missed it, check out this “stomping-of –their-feet-and-leaving-the-room” scene on The View.

Their special guest was Bill O’Reilly and boy did he “rile” them up!

This is a good thing! It shows they are feeling the pressure of fed-up Americans who are tired of their reckless behavior and leftist points of view.

It reminded me of when our daughter turned 17 many years ago. Seventeen is a strange age. When you turn 16 you get your license and for the first time ever – feel totally free driving away from your house with your friends in the back seat. Eighteen is the day you are old enough to vote and enlist in the military. Seventeen is that in-between age.

I decided to buy a well known teen magazine for my daughter’s 17thbirthday. I purchased it months in advance and when the first one arrived, I grabbed it when the mail came and was going to wrap it up along with her other gifts. The magazine cover was cool and I started thumbing through it glancing at the ads for lipstick, hair gels and reading the newest fashion craze. Then my eye stopped on an article that said something like: “Teen Sex: Should you or shouldn’t you?”

I sat down and started reading it. As I did, my blood boiled. The magazine was advocating “protected sex” and nowhere did it say you should wait to have sex until marriage.

I was mad and wrote a letter to the editor, addressed a large envelope and enclosed the magazine cancelling our new subscription. I felt good because I had put them in their place and let them know a thing or two about our family’s conservative values.

Little did I know that 10 days later I would receive a letter back from the Editor. I was surprised to find it and thought they were apologizing for the article.

Nope – didn’t happen. Instead, the letter raked me over the coals for being an “out of touch mother who had her head in the sand.” It went on to tell me that I was a fool to think teenagers could just wait until marriage and they were doing a service to the community to help parents explain how best to have sex with their boyfriends since they were going to have it anyway.

My head was spinning. My mind was racing. My anger was seething. I was in total shock that an editor would take the time to condemn my point of VIEW. They were unwilling to listen to me. They called me ignorant. They basically laughed at my way of thinking.

Realizing there wasn’t much I could do to change their minds – I made up mine to tell everyone I knew about this magazine and I did!

My friends wrote letters to the editor, took copies out of waiting rooms and if their daughter had a subscription-- they cancelled it.

Did we take the magazine down? No. Did we feel good about standing up for what was right? Yes.

Today on The View – two “ladies” walked off the stage and would not listen to another point of view. It was embarrassing and it was childish. They looked silly when they came back to the stage after their tirade.

The liberal left does not want to hear from us. They still call us names and rant and rave and stomp their feet when they do not get their way.

No worries. You have more power than you can imagine. Those who remain on the stage or in the room always win. Those who leave – lose. Stay the course and continue on to November 2.

Here’s what you can do today to activate your citizenship:

1. THE VIEW: Send Barbara Walters a thank you for being a “good mom” today and challenging her co-hosts about their childish behaviors. You can reach her here.

2. FOR WOMEN ONLY: Watch the movie clip from Mamma Mia about being 17. Remember those times and look in the mirror and say “I am just as beautiful today as I was then. Time passes but my mind and my soul increases in knowledge and wisdom.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GILT4hHlMw&feature=related

3. FOR MEN ONLY: It's Friday night and the lights are low...take your girl dancing tonight!

Wow! I can't agree more! I just cancelled my subscription to Vogue since they often print favorable articles about the Obama regime. I explained that I buy the magazine for fashion and I don't want their views imposed on me or unsuspecting teenagers that might be reading it as well.

Vogue is bad enough, but, listen to this. This is not the worst of it, yet. It is very unfortunate that liberals are so hateful that they have to go beyond insult to disgusting filth!

I was reading ELLE at the YMCA (I don't subscribe to ELLE) and there it was, an article about Sarah Palin. Although I new it was going to be biased, I had NO IDEA of what I was about to read! The sentence was "Will she be satisfied to usher a wave of guslinging, fetus-loving Republican women into office?"

Yes, It said that. It is the 25th anniversary edition of ELLE Magazine with Megan Fox on the cover. It is on page 416 in the middle paragraph at the bottom, for those who would like to confirm it. I don't blame you, I always do.

The article also include at least 3 times the word "sh*t". This woman so called reporter is very vicious and sarcastic. She also assumes that all pro-life are Republican and all Republicans are pro-life (which is not the case). She was also quite sarcastic and insulting about Sarah' religious beliefs, of course.

Please let everyone know about this and hopefully they will do as I did and cancel their subscription.

I can't believe that Whoopi following dense Joy off the stage. I thought Whoopi was more professional than that. I expected old Joy to do something like that but not Whoopi. Oh well just goes to show you that you never know about people.

I liked your analogy re: being 17. And yes, I see more and more examples of infantile behavior from the left when they are challenged. It is becoming increasingly more volitile as we move closer to the election.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
