Last week’s Times-Union story about the effort to obtain the public schedules of lawmakers had all the makings of a Hollywood script. The only question — was it a drama or a…
The democrats in congress and the senate and the president are always able to tell you amazing stories about what Obamacare does and in glowing terms. However, there is a much worse side to Obamacare and conservatives and those in favor of repeal and replacement with market based solutions must begin to tell their stories about what is wrong with Obamacare and it's negative impact. This is a short video, and the first of several Heritage…

Have to watch as new people of interest start announcing they will be running in 2012. Michael Williams is a conservative and has also spoken at tea parties. He has an admirable backgroud as well and is apparently pretty well known both in his state and in DC! Here's hoping many more will step forward to run for both the congress and the senate.
Well worth…

U. S. News did their homework and found that most of the SOTU speech was "borrowed" from a number of other people. As the article states: "If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, what can be said of plagiarism? President Obama’s second SOTU contained enough recycled ideas and lines lifted from speeches of others to make historians wince". Very well put together article with links to polls or other related information.
I found…

Very short article about Rick Scott and the Jacksonville Port. A couple of things I found interesting are that Gov Scott used great care not to commit to state funding for the port and also indicated something I was not wild about and that is trying to get federal funding (Florida's "fair share"). I am at a point where I want Washington to stop spending, so I am not happy to hear Mr. Scott will be requesting federal money for anything for our state. After all,…

Ms Adkins' bill would eliminate the Department of Health, Department of Children and Family Services, the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, and the Agency for Health Care Administration due to duplication of services. I think, right now, we have multiple departments doing the same thing at all levels of government. No one ever replaced anything, they just added something new along with the cost of manning everything. It is worth while saying also that another…

A coalition of business groups have recommended tightening the eligibility for unemployment as costs have gone through the roof for businesses. A number of business groups are involved and have made recommendations and the state legislature is considering revamping both the eligibility requirements and the tax rate at this time. Lots of very good information in this article and well worth a read to keep abreast of this important issue for the businesses and…

Ben Stein is a favorite of mine..........think it is the ultra dry humor. Hoping if you haven't already seen and reaq this, you might enjoy the read! More on the SOTU as only Ben Stein can explain it.

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
