Policymakers say that the Farm Bill is about helping farms, but this just isn’t true.

In reality, the Farm Bill is a big welfare bill in disguise. The “Farm Bill” label merely allows the ever-growing spending on welfare programs to cause the price tag for the entire package to swell, contributing to our nation’s budget woes.

The mayor has quite a project on his hands again this year with a budget over run and from what I am seeing, it looks like city services are going to take another hit while social programs will be protected.  When oh when will these folks get that they have jobs solely for the purpose of city services and are not charged with feeding everyone in the city or regulating businesses out of business (or having yard sale police or countless other regulatory issues to raise more money…
