SUMMARY:Putnam County Tea Party Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Come hear from Rick Rodriquez, the District Director for\n
Friends for Florida FAIR TAX. Rick retired from The Central Intelligen
ce Agency in 2000 after serving 12 years. He also retired from General
Motors as a District Sales Manager for Chevrolet Motor Division with
almost 17 years of service.\n\nRick subsequently purchased a GM franch
ise and was the owner-operator of a dealership before going into semi-
retirement at age 45. He also performed automotive consulting for The
Federation of Automobile\nDealers Association (Canada) and served as m
oderator of several auto groups. Rick most recently was a licensed rea
l estate sales representative for a local builder in Palm Cost where h
e resides with his wife Norma, of 47 years. They were married at St. J
ohn the Baptist Catholic Church in Pulaski, NY on April 21, 1962. They
have two children, a daughter Candida Ruth, a son Rick III and two gr
andchildren.\n\nRick was graduated from High School with a GED and eve
ntually with the 1961 class of James A. Garfield H.S. in East Los Ange
les, California. He entered the U. S. Army in June of 1958 and served
for almost five years in Europe and later, was honorably discharged in
March of 1962.\n\nRick has been a volunteer since 2001 for the Flagle
r County Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) providing support to
Meals on Wheels and other associated volunteer assistance programs.\n\
nRick’s involvement in The FairTax movement began in summer 2005 aft
er listening to Talk show host, Neal Boortz’s program and reading th
e FairTax book. He subsequently attended a training session in Jackson
ville where he was appointed District Director for Florida’s Congres
sional District 7. Rick was appointed to serve on the initial board of
directors for Florida FairTax Education Association.\n\nRick believes
that of all the legislation being touted within the DC beltway, the F
airTax legislation is the only game changer that this country deserves
. Once implemented, it will reverse the government’s interventionism
, returning liberty and power where the founders of this nation intend
ed when they authored the U. S. Constitution.\n\nThe FairTax levels th
e playing field for all and truly permits, without government interven
tion, a citizen’s pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.\n\nCome ou
t and learn why you must get behind the FAIR TAX now and why we may ha
ve the best chance to have the FAIR TAX introduced on the floor of the
House of Representatives in 12 yrs.\n\nFor more information visit htt
