 r Michael S. Duskin, who was killed in Afghanistan, was on seventh car
 eer deployment\n\nA decorated soldier killed earlier this week in Afgh
 anistan was on the seventh deployment of his 19-year career.\n\nChief 
 Warrant Officer 2 Michael S. Duskin, 42, of Orange Park, Fla., died Tu
 esday from wounds suffered in Wardak province.\nDuskin, a member of Co
 mpany A, 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, was on a dismounted 
 patrol when his unit came under small-arms fire.\nHe is survived by hi
 s wife, three children, sister and parents, according to Special Force
 s Command.\nAn assistant detachment commander, Duskin was on his fifth
  tour in Afghanistan and seventh overall deployment.\nHe had been assi
 gned to Fort Bragg since 2001, serving in the 3rd Special Forces Group
  and the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, according 
 to a news release.\nDuskin's Army career began in 1993, when he enlist
 ed as a forward observer.\nFollowing his initial training, he served w
 ith the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment for three years before joi
 ning the Florida National Guard, according to officials.\nAs a Guardsm
 an, Duskin attended Special Forces Assessment and Selection at Fort Br
 agg and graduated from the Special Forces Qualification Course in 1998
 .\nDuskin first served as an engineer sergeant assigned to 3rd Battali
 on, 20th Special Forces Group, which is comprised of National Guard so
 ldiers.\nHe was mobilized to active duty in 2001 and deployed with 2nd
  Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group for more than five years, deployi
 ng five times, before becoming a Special Forces instructor at Fort Bra
 gg.\nAs an instructor, Duskin attended the Special Forces Warrant Offi
 cer Technical and Tactical Certification Course, graduating in May 201
 0.\nHe then joined the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group. This w
 as his second deployment to Afghanistan with that unit.\nDuskin's mili
 tary awards and decorations include three Bronze Star Medals, includin
 g one that was awarded posthumously, two Meritorious Service Medals, a
  Purple Heart, the Joint Commendation Medal, three Army Commendation M
 edals, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, two Na
 tional Defense Service Medals, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, t
 he Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terr
 orism Service Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Noncommission
 ed Officer Professional Development Ribbon (2), the Army Service Ribbo
 n, the Expert Infantryman Badge, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bas
 ic Parachutist Badge, and the Special Forces Tab.\nThe time of the ser
 vice is not currently available but I will update as soon as I can fin
