 a Florida native and met her husband Brett at the University of Centra
 l Florida. Married for 25 years, they are parents to Kaylyn, a home ed
 ucation graduate and senior honors student at Liberty University in Ly
 nchburg, Virginia. Laura has an extensive home education background an
 d served three years as the Florida State Coordinator for TeenPact Lea
 dership Schools, a nation-wide organization that trains young leaders 
 to combine faith and political understanding to impact the culture. Du
 ring the 2012 presidential election she was a Field Director for Flori
 da Family Action and shortly afterward began working on the issue of C
 ommon Core. Laura has spoken to hundreds of families and community lea
 ders across the state about the dangers of Common Core and also advoca
 tes for legislation to protect parental sovereignty over education.\nS
