DESCRIPTION:Info for meeting:\nWe will explain why it is important to 
 get involved in city government, how to get involved in city governmen
 t, and the importance of staying informed. We plan to show people how 
 to pull bills up that are on the schedule and being considered and to 
 know which ones are suspect (we ask those who have a laptop to bring 
 it with them).\nTony Bates will attempt to get folks signed up for a f
 ield trip to city hall with him to get a walk through and meet various
  members of the team that supports our city council and to attend a co
 mmittee meeting (he would like to do 1 or 2 people at a time, so they 
 won't overwhelm the committee meetings and also keep it convenient for
  the people that go and Tony).\nThe presentation will also cover how t
 o find the committee meetings on line in the event you can't be there 
 in person (so you can speak knowledgeably about the meeting and our re
 ps will know you are on top of what they are doing and aware), and Daw
 n also thinks we need to show some of you who do not have home compute
 rs how to use the library computers (and I agree and this may require
  1 on 1 appointments as well at the tea party office or the library. 
  We can show everyone how to get an Email address (and where to get on
 e for free) and also direct non computer users to some of the more rel
 evant web sites you should be acquainted with.\n \nThe Arlington grou
 p will be the \"kick off\" or test case for this program, so we are ho
 ping for a good response and lots of feedback from the group that atte
 nds.\n\n \nIt is a pretty tall order and lots of information.\n\n \n
