SUMMARY:Arlington Group Monthly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:For our November Meeting, we are honored to have as our pr
 esenter and speaker:\\n\nWilliam Korach presents \"33 Minute\" video a
nd a Discussion on National Security\n\nWilliam Korach has held senior
executive positions with Citibank, New England Life, and KPMG Consult
ing where he was responsible for implementing marketing technologies t
o better serve customers and management. Korach was an early developer
of on-line banking at Citibank and has taught and written about marke
ting technology through out his career in financial services. Korach i
s a former Commander in the United States Naval Reserve who served on
Active Duty during the 1960's aboard the destroyer USS John R. Pierce
and was recalled to active duty for Operation Desert Storm. At the clo
se of Desert Storm, Korach wrote a paper for the Assistant Secretary o
f Defense on media coverage that was presented at the Harvard Universi
ty Kennedy School of Government.\n\nKorach worked closely on the found
ing of the USS Intrepid Air and Space Museum in New York, and play a k
ey role in New York's Annual Fleet Week.\n\nHe is currently president
of the Navy League of the United States, St Augustine Council, and has
written articles for Sea Power Magazine on National Security. Korach
has studied and reported on the budget inadequacies of the Navy, Marin
es and Coast Guard given the expanded mission and threat from Islamic
radicalism, and conventional threats from N. Korea, China, Iran, and V
enezuela.\n\nKorach recently completed a history textbook Rock of the
Republic because of his concern that America’s great heritage is no
longer being taught in America’s schools. Mr. Korach, a former Comma
nder in the United States Naval Reserve says: “I share the concern o
f David McCullough Pulitzer Prize winning author of 1776 and John Adam
s that our children’s ignorance of American history is a threat to n
ational security.”\nThe curriculum grew out of the belief that young
people were largely unaware of the Judeo-Christian foundation upon wh
ich their country was built. Great legal minds like William Blackstone
and sociologist Alexis de Tocqueville that contributed so much to Ame
rican law and ethics are no longer being studied. Mr. Korach says: “
I uncovered a treasure trove of speeches, documents and letters by the
Founders, Framers, and more recent leaders that provide powerful insi
ght into our Constitution.”\n\nKorach graduated from the University
of Chicago Laboratory School and received his BA in history from the U
niversity of Wisconsin.\n\nFor more information visit https://firstcoa
